Remote Access Tools Work Well ... When Things Already Work Well

How do you access a remote computer that may be:

  • Unbootable, due to operating system corruption, hard disk drive failure or because it is a new, unformated device
  • Unstable, due to virus infection, misconfigured settings or memory problems
  • Unreachable, due to restrictive firewalls that block traditional remote access connections
  • Untouchable, due to prohibition against writing to the hard disk drive when recovering files or conducting forensics

Current remote access tools work great, if the remote computer is stable and reachable.  They fail in the challenging scenarios above, which is when you need remote access most.

SOFIns is a Gateway to Remote Computers

SOFIns provides you a gateway to access remote computers that you cannot access directly.

The remote computer, or Target, is booted using a known-good operating system that runs independently of what may exist on the Target's hard disk drive.

A secure communication link is established and SOFIns becomes the gateway interface to the Target.  Using SOFIns, you can enable ssh access as well as grant access to others though a SOFIns sharing process.

Using SOFIns, you can administer Targets that could otherwise not be reached.
